Susan Hughes to be Inducted into San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
Green Spaces Alliance is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Susan Hughes, will be inducted into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame on March 27, 2010. Susan is recognized for her civic leadership and is described as an "unsung heroine of San Antonio."
In addition to her work with Green Spaces Alliance, Susan serves on the boards of the Edwards Aquifer Authority and Bexar Audubon Society, and is a member of the Hill Country Alliance’s advisory board. She was a founder of the South Texas Farm and Range Forum, which saw its seventh iteration in February 2010. Susan's conservation work includes five years on the National Audubon Society board of directors, and she is a trustee of Save the Laja, Inc., a Texas not-for-profit fostering watershed and habitat conservation in the Texas-Central Mexico corridor.
